Intellectual Property (IP) Rights Policy

Statement of Ownership

Vaibhav Studios is the sole and exclusive owner of all intellectual property associated with the animated feature film Return of the Jungle and the Vaibhav Studios brand. This includes, without limitation, all creative works, characters, storylines, artwork, music, and commercial marks associated with the film and the Studio.

This ownership has been built over years of original creative labour by a dedicated core team of approximately 20 artists, and is protected under the full force of Indian intellectual property laws. The principles of this policy apply equally to all Vaibhav Studios IP.

Protected Intellectual Property Comprehensive Schedule

Copyright (Copyright Act, 1957)

• The animated feature film Return of the Jungle in its entirety, including the film as a whole and each individual scene, sequence, animation frame, and audio-visual element
• All original characters created for the film, including but not limited to: Mihir, Thatha (the grandfather), Rahul Malhotra, and all other named and unnamed characters
• All original artwork, character designs, concept art, background art, and visual style guides created for or in connection with the film
• All scripts, screenplays, dialogue, and literary works underlying the film
• All original music compositions, songs (including Bhajan, Calypso excluding qawwaali compositions), lyrics, and sound recordings created for the film
• All promotional material including posters, teasers, trailers, motion posters, and marketing artwork
• All content on this Store including product images, descriptions, website design, and layout

Trade Marks (Trade Marks Act, 1999)

• ‘Vaibhav Studios’ studio brand name and logo
• ‘Return of the Jungle’ film title as a trademark
• ‘ROTJ’ abbreviation and associated branding
• All character names used in a trademark sense in connection with merchandise
• All logos, wordmarks, and device marks associated with the above

Designs (Designs Act, 2000)

• Visual designs applied to merchandise including apparel, stationery, toys, accessories, and collectibles
• Packaging designs for all merchandise products

Permitted and Prohibited Uses

What You ARE Permitted to Do

• Purchase official merchandise from this Store for personal, non-commercial use
• Share photographs of purchased merchandise on personal social media, with appropriate credit to @VaibhavStudios
• Reference the film Return of the Jungle by name for the purposes of review, commentary, academic study, or news reporting (fair dealing under Section 52 of the Copyright Act, 1957)

What You Are STRICTLY PROHIBITED from Doing

• Reproducing, copying, printing, or distributing any artwork, character images, or film content without express written authorisation from Vaibhav Studios
• Creating or selling any merchandise, apparel, accessories, print-on-demand products, or digital products bearing Return of the Jungle or Vaibhav Studios IP without a valid, signed licensing agreement
• Using any character names, film title, or studio name in any commercial advertising, promotion, or endorsement context
• Creating unauthorised fan films, derivative works, or adaptations for commercial purposes
• Uploading, sharing, or distributing any portion of the Return of the Jungle film, its music, or its promotional material without authorisation
• Registering any domain name, social media handle, or business name incorporating Vaibhav Studios, Return of the Jungle, ROTJ or any confusingly similar mark
• Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or extracting any assets from any Vaibhav Studios digital property

Licensing

Any commercial use of Vaibhav Studios’ intellectual property requires a prior written licensing agreement executed with Vaibhav Studios.

Anti-Counterfeiting

The popularity of Return of the Jungle and the Vaibhav Studios brand, creates a risk of counterfeit merchandise in the market. Vaibhav Studios takes a firm stance against counterfeiting.

All authorised merchandise sold through this Store features:

• Official Vaibhav Studios authenticity labelling
• Quality standards consistent with official brand guidelines

If you encounter or suspect counterfeit Return of the Jungle or Vaibhav Studios merchandise being sold through any channel (online or offline), please report it to

Enforcement

Vaibhav Studios will vigorously enforce its intellectual property rights.

Infringement of copyright constitutes an offence under Section 63 of the Copyright Act, 1957, punishable with imprisonment and/or fine.

Trademark infringement is actionable under Section 29 of the Trade Marks Act, 1999.

Vaibhav Studios reserves the right to initiate civil proceedings for injunction, damages, and account of profits, as well as criminal complaints under applicable law, against any infringer without further notice.

Third-Party Intellectual Property

This Store and our merchandise do not knowingly infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

Vaibhav Studios has undertaken appropriate creative originality measures in the development of Return of the Jungle.

The film draws inspiration from Panchatantra-era Indian folklore, which is in the public domain, and all creative expression is original to Vaibhav Studios.
